Aiguablava beach with it's crystal clear waters is a sheltered sandy beach, just five minutes drive and is ideal for children.   Beautifull Fornels bay is a short walk from the apartment (but has steep steps to beach). There is a very good "chiringito" beach bar/restaurant serving lunches and sandwiches in season.  For the evening it is possible to walk to the Aigua Blava Hotel which has an excellent Grill Room and restaurant with superb views over the bay. 
Both walks take about 5 to 10 minutes.
 
Tamariu beach is about 10 minutes drive and a lovely beach for families or for an evening meal by the sea.   In fact all along the stunning coastline you will find small bays and coves to explore, and for a large long sandy beach, Pals beach is perfect. 

The apartment is in a low rise building of just 34 apartments in landscaped gardens with large swimming pool and a small children's pool.  In season there is a small bar-restaurant for the guests and owners. 

The nearest village is Begur (five minutes by car) which has many restaurants and cafes, and a market on Wednesday morning.  The larger town of Palafrugell (12 minutes by car) has a daily food market and street market on Sunday as well as very good shops.
